OPEN CALL FOR ALL DESIGNERS!
Fashion Business, Inc. cordially invites you to be part of a special evening filled with Friends, Fashion, Entertainment, Art, Tapas, and Refreshments! However, this evening will not be complete without the help of our Members and Friends. The main event of the evening will be a fashion show featuring emerging and established designers. This is where YOU come in! We are holding an open call for designers to be featured in our fashion show. There will be 6-7 designer spots open. There will be a small entry fee.
For consideration for this one-time opportunity, each applicant must provide the following:
Line sheets
Look book
Website or other marketing materials
Basic financial and business plan
YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE OF THE AFOREMENTIONED! In addition, there is NO APPLICATION. Your "application" will be the materials you submit.
In addition to our emerging designer Launch Pad show, Moss Adams will present an established designer with the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award (MAFI).
Created in 2003, the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator (MAFI) award is given to a California based company that has, in the past twelve months, significantly impacted the national marketplace by exemplifying creativity and innovation through unique and compelling designs, manufacturing and/or marketing. The award is bestowed by Moss Adams, LLP, one of the Nations' leading accounting firms, serving over 200 apparel clients, from start-ups to very large middle market private and public companies. The award includes $5,000 of Moss Adams professional services. Applicants for the MAFI Award will be judged by the professional board of directors of the FBI. The winning brand will be featured in their own segment of the event and MUST be present for the presentation for the award.
Venue, models, hair & makeup and production will be sponsored by supporters of this exciting event!
Applications must be submitted for consideration
no later than August 19th.

The event will be held during the LA Fashion Week on
Thursday, October 20, 2011 (5.30pm-10pm) at the
Vibiana (214 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012).
This fundraiser will help support the on-going services of the Fashion Business, Incorporated, 501c3 educational non-profit.
All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
