PRESS RELEASE
Paris, 4th May 2012
The House of Paco Rabanne and its Artistic Director for Women’s Ready-to-Wear are announcing today their separation by mutual agreement.

Paco Rabanne had asked Manish Arora to take over the Creative Direction of the House in order to make the fashion comeback of Paco Rabanne into a stylistic and media event of great magnitude. Thanks to his work during two seasons, Manish Arora was able to establish the foundations of a renewal and a repositioning of the Paco Rabanne brand.

Commenting on this announcement, the House of Paco Rabanne declares: “We are most grateful to Manish for the work accomplished and the energy that he displayed all along this project. The strong media impact of the past two seasons has enabled Paco Rabanne to partake with strength in the universe of contemporary fashion.”

Manish Arora adds for his part: “Revisiting the Paco Rabanne fashion was a very enriching experience and an exceptional artistic and human adventure. I am, today, happy to have accomplished the mission I was trusted with in order to cast this iconic brand back into the spotlight.”

The House of Paco Rabanne wishes him a great deal of success with his eponymous line and his upcoming projects.

PACO RABANNE LAUNCHES PACO BY A NEW PLACE OF DISCOVERY AND EXPERIMENTATION

POST BY DOLORIES ADAMS
Press Release: TOTEM PARIS |Paco Rabanne Press - Head Office
Sébastien de Brito| sebastien@totemfashion.com| +33 1 49 23 79 79
Paris, April 25, 2012

The House of Paco Rabanne announces the launch of Paco By, a new
Fashion forum on social media. Found at the address PacoBy.Tumblr.
com, the aim of this community-based site is to allow as many people as
possible to discover the House from a different perspective. Designed like an inspiration book created in part by guests – photographers, illustrators and bloggers, Paco By... a miscellany of thoughts & impressions offers a visual and personal stroll through the heart of the brand. With Paco By, Paco Rabanne is the first French fashion house present on Tumblr.

The Paco By platform is structured into four sections: Genesis, Confidences, Fashion Now and Lifestyle. We discover the House’s heritage and behind-the-scenes peeks at the shows, along with studio life and the latest news from Paco Rabanne Fashion. Paco By already counts 50 articles that can be exclusively seen on Paco By.

Tumblr, a collaborative platform

There is a good reason why Paco Rabanne has chosen to create its blog on Tumblr. For Cécile Derein-Pozzi, Communications Director for Paco Rabanne Fashion: “It is an open and community-based platform brought to life by people who use it to share fabulous images. Tumblr offers very inspiring content and a mode of expression that is simple and intimate yet avant-garde, which corresponds to our brand.”
Paco Rabanne has entrusted its pen to Mathieu Lebreton, Editor-in-chief of Materialiste and Ykone, who also calls on a network of guest contributors, such as the photographer Anne Combaz, the English blogger Park & Cube, the illustrator and blogger Le Modalogue, and star blogger Betty Autier, whose photo taken for Paco By has been reblogged almost 300 times on Tumblr.
A theme a month

Its Beta version was put online in time for Paris fashion week last October and this year Paco By is offering us a monthly themed event. In this respect, in April Paco By will be presenting a retrospective of vintage dresses, while the month of May will be devoted to the major Paco Rabanne muses from the seventies
